Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the role of Yixinshu capsule combined bisoprolol treating diastolic heart failure (DHF) and its impact on cardiac hemodynamics. METHODS High salt feeding built diastolic dysfunction of hypertensive rats. The 24 diastolic heart failure rats were randomly divided into three groups, which were given distilled water, a solution of bisoprolol and a solution of Yixinshu capsule combined bisoprolol treatment for 6 weeks. Then left ventricular pressure, left ventricular filling time, left ventricular end-diastolic pressure, the maximum rate of isovolumic systolic, left ventricular pressure rise(dp/dt
max) were respectively observed. RESULTS Left ventricular end-diastolic pressure of Yixinshu capsule combined bisoprolol was significantly lower than that in the bisoprolol group and the control group(P<0.01), but the effect on left ventricular blood pressure was no statistically different. The maximum rate of isovolumic systolic left ventricular pressure rising of Yixinshu capsule combined bisoprolol group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05), and the maximum rate of isovolumic diastolic left ventricular pressure and the left ventricular filling time (LVSP) showed no statistical difference among the three groups. CONCLUSION Yixinshu capsule combined bisoprolol could effectively improve left ventricular blood pressure of the diastolic heart failure rats, without affecting left ventricular blood pressure.
