Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To establish a method for determination of itopride hydrochloride. METHODS Itopride hydrochloride reacted with quinalizarin to form stable charge transfer complex whose composition ratio is 1∶1 under alkaline conditions and could be determined at 578 nm. RESULTS Beer′s Law is obeyed in the range of 20.0-140.0 mg·L
-1 of itopride hydrochloride and the correlation coefficient is 0.999 1. And RSD is 0.62%. The apparent molar absorptivity of the complex is 2.03×10
3 L·mol
-1·cm
-1. The recoveries are 99.1%~102.3%. CONCLUSION The method is simple, rapid and accurate, can be used to the determination of itopride hydrochloride in tablets.
