Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effects of experimental treatment of the ethanol extract of
Clematis terniflora DC(CTD) on the acute and chronic non-bacterial prostatitis(NBP) in rats. METHODS Use the methods of carrageenan and Xiaozhiling injection respectively into the ventral and lateral lobes of prostate to establish the acute and chronic non-bacterial prostatitis models in rats. The density of lecithin corpuscles(DLCC) and the number of leukocytes in prostatic fluid , the prostate index(PI) and the prostatic histopathological examination were used to evaluate the pharmacodynamics of the ethanol extract of CTD. RESULTS The CTD extract could dose-dependently increase the density of DLCC, decrease the PI and the number of leukocytes in prostatic fluid, also relieve the degree of the inflammational cell in?ltration and lesion in tissues. CONCLUSION Clematis terniflora DC can improve experimental symptoms of the acute and chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.
