Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To study the method for separating and purifying the salvianolic acid B from
Salvia miltiorrhiza with multifunctional resin ADS-7.
METHODS By using the content and elution rate of salvianolic acid B as indexes, the dynamic adsorption tests were employed to investigate adsorption capability of ADS-7 resin.
RESULTS ADS-7 resin could be used to produce the salvianolic acid B with high quality. The dynamic adsorption capacity was 95.7 mg·g
-1 (dry resin), the purity of the salvianolic acid B was 87.2% when eluted with formic acid/50% ethanol (10∶90).
CONCLUSION It is a simple and efficient method to separate the salvianolic acid B from Salvia miltiorrhiza with ADS-7 resin.
