Abstract: OBJECTIVE To synthesis nimorazole. METHODS Nimorazole was prepared by reaction of morpholine with 2-chloroethanol, via chlorination, and condensed with 4(5)-nitro-imidazole in the presence of phase-transfer catalyst. RESULTS The structure was identified by mp., IR and 1H-NMR. CONCLUSION The process can be easily controlled and suitable for a scale production.
