Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To isolate juglanoside B and establish its content determination method from the fresh rejuvenated fruits of
J. mandshurica. METHODS Juglanoside B was isolated by macro-porous resin chromatography, silica gel chromatography and reverse phase silica gel chromatography. The method of its content determination was established by HPLC. RESULTS Juglanoside B was identified as (4S)-4,5-dihydroxy-a-tetralone 4-O-b-D-glucopyranoside on the basis of NMR analysis. Elution condition by HPLC was MeCN-H2O-H3PO4 (10∶90∶0.2). CONCLUSION The method is simple and has good repeatability. Juglanoside B can be used as indexical component to establish the method of quality control.
