Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the inhibitory effect and possible mechanism of Compound granule of Ruangan on hepatic fibrosis induced by CCl4 in rat. METHODS The hepatic fibrosis rat model was developed by subcutaneous injection of CCl4 and with or without compound granule of ruangan treatment at different doses. At the end of the experiment, the levels were determined including ALT、AST、HA、LN、PCⅢ、TNF-α、IL-1βin serum, as well as SOD、MDA in the hepatic tissue. RESULTS The Compound granule of Ruangan could reduce the serum levels of ALT、AST and HA、LN、PCⅢ、TNF-α、IL-1βand MDA content in liver, as well as increase the activity of SOD in serum. CONCLUTION The compound granule of ruangan has an obvious function of decreasing enzyme, protecting liver cell and anti-hepatic fibrosis. The underlying mechanisms may due to the inhibition of oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation and the release of inflammatory cytokines and so on.
