Abstract: OBJECTIVE Establish the hyperlipidemia rats model to observe antiatheroscloresis effects of daidai flavones dropping pills on hyperlipidemia rat. METHODS Sixty SD rats were grouped randomly. Among them, 10 were in control group, fed with conventional forage, while others were fed with high fatty forage, establish the hyperlipidemia model. The content of cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C) in serum were determined. Take the liver, HE dyeing, to study the role of the daidai flavones dropping pills on lower cholesterol in hyperlipidemia rats. RESULTS The dropping pills could significantly lower the high blood fat rats’ serum TC, TG and LDL-C content, could obviously increase the rats’ serum HDL-C content. Furthermore, fatty degeneration was eased by daidai flavones dropping pills according to the pathological result. CONCLUSION The daidai flavones dropping pills have good precautionary and therapeutic effect on hyperlipemia rats, which can prevent fatty degeneration among rats.
