Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of persimmon leaf total flavonid (PLF) on the hyperlipidemic fatty liver and enzyme of lipoprotein metabolism in rats. METHODS Fifty healthy SD rats were raised by hyper-fatty animal feed for 6 weeks to establish the hyperlipidemia rats model. Then the hyperlipidemia rats were divided into 5 groups randomly according to the serum TC: model group, high dose group of PLF, medium dose group of PLF, low dose group of PLF, and lovastatin group. Serum lipoprotein level, aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT), lipoprotein lipase(LPL) and hepatic lipase(HL) were tested after treated with corresponding drugs once per day for 4 weeks, in addition to liver tissue physiological form were observed by HE dye way. RESULTS Compared with the model group, the levels of the serum TC, TG, LDL-C, AST and ALT were decreased significantly, while HDL-C, LPL and HL were increased significantly (
P<0.05 or
P<0.01). In all treated groups, the liver weight, liver coefficient were decreased significantly (
P<0.05 or
P<0.01), and the liver adipose degeneration were ameliorated in some degree after the treatment with drugs. CONCLUSION PLF have marked benefit effects on prevention and treatment of the hyperlipemia and liver adipose degeneration.
