Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To promote the employees’ awareness of management, reducing error and the safty of clinical medication, quality control circle (QCC) activity was implemented in pharmacy intravenous admixture service (PIVAS). METHODS Various QCC were applied in the PIVAS, then we analysed the errors and formulated the safeguard. RESULTS The number of errors in the PIVAS reduced significantly, from 84.75 per week to 35.44 per week. CONCLUSION The problems in PIVAS are decreased and the pharmaceutical quality of service are improved since QCC is implemented.
