Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of
Hyssopus cuspidatus Boriss..
METHODS Isolation and purification were carried out by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatographies. Compounds were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral analysis.
RESULTS Seven compounds were isolated from the plant. Their structures were identified as chrysin(Ⅰ), 24-methylenecycloartanol(Ⅱ), oleanolic acid(Ⅲ),
n-hexadecanol(Ⅳ), hexacosyl alcohol(Ⅴ), β-sitosterol(Ⅵ), daucosterol(Ⅶ), respectively.
CONCLUSION CompoundsⅠ, Ⅱ and Ⅳ are isolated from the plant for the first time.
