Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To establish a method for determination of total flavonoids and active components of extract from Chrysanthemi Flos. METHODS UV and HPLC method were applied to determine total flavonoids and active components of extract from Chrysanthemi Flos. RESULTS The average content of total flavonoids is 78.46%. The linear range of total flavonoids was 0.021 2-0.074 2 mg·mL
-1(
r=0.999 2). The average recovery was 101.8% (RSD=2.1%,
n=6). The contents of chlorogenic acid, rutin and luteoloside in extract from Chrysanthemi Flos were 0.46%, 1.45% and 4.54%, respectively. CONCLUSION The method is accurate, reliable, simple and available for quality control of extract from Chrysanthemi Flos.
