Abstract: OBJECTIVE To determine the contents of heavy metals in Rhei Radix et Rhizoma from different habitats of Gansu. METHODS The contents of As, Hg, Cd, Pb were determined by atomic fluorescence spectrometry. RESULTS The contents of the heavy metals were different among Rhei Radix et Rhizoma from different habitats of Gansu, but they did not exceeded the standard. CONCLUSION It provides the valuable materials for quality assessment of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma and offers the reference for establishing the standard of heavy metals dose limited of crude drug.
