Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To study the extraction technology conditions of rutin from Sophorae Flos by microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method.
METHODS Ethanol was used as extraction solvent, the content of rutin was determined by HPLC. The influence of ratio of material to solvent, radiation time, microwave power, temperature and extraction time were studied so as to analyze the factors which affected the extraction yield of rutin by MAE.
RESULTS The optimum extraction parameters were chosen as follows: the microwave power was 380 W, the ratio of material to solvent was 1∶20, the concentration of ethanol was 55%, the extraction time was 9 minutes and the standing time was 8 hours. The production rate was 30.83%.
CONCLUSION The results indicate that MAE is fast, efficient and it has good prospects of application.
