Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To systematically evaluate the application of "Zhebawei" and "New Zhebawei" medicinal materials in classical prescriptions and to summarize their research progress in modern pharmacology.
METHODS Through comprehensive analysis of historical herbal classics, modern literature, and pharmacological research, a detailed review had been conducted on the application of the "Zhebawei" in classical prescriptions.
RESULTS In the Catalogue of Ancient Classical Prescriptions(First Batch) which included 100 prescriptions, "Zhebawei" medicinal materials appeared 30 times. Among them, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma(Atractylodes macrocephala), Paeoniae Radix Alba(Paeonia lactiflora), Ophiopogonis Radix(Ophiopogon japonicus), and Linderae Radix(Lindera aggregata) had the highest frequencies of use, appearing in 13, 14, 7, and 2 prescriptions respectively. These medicinal materials play a key role in treating various diseases due to their significant anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-tumor, and immune-regulating effects.
CONCLUSION As representatives of the traditional Chinese medicine culture of Zhejiang, the "Zhebawei" medicinal materials not only possess rich historical and cultural connotations but also demonstrate clear pharmacological effects and clinical application value in modern medical research.
