Abstract: The issue of medication for children has always been a hot topic of public concern. Encouraging innovation in pediatric drug research and promoting the integration and development of multiple fields and disciplines in pediatric drugs is a long and arduous task. In order to continuously promote innovation in pediatric drugs, work together to tackle the challenges of children's medication, and ensure the accessibility and safety of children's medication, this column have launched this special issue of “Children's Drug Research”, which delves into five major themes: “Children's medication issues and strategies” “Frontier technologies of children's drug research” “Clinical research on children's drugs” “Children's drug monitoring”, and “Children's pharmacovigilance”. It will provides clinical reference, research foundation, and train of thought for children's drug research, and further promote the vigorous development of rational drug use and drug research and development for children.
