Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To study the preparation process, quality standards, and preliminary pharmacodynamics of Dugou Pinggan Granules, providing a basis for the preparation of medical institutions.
METHODS The orthogonal experimental method was used to study the water extraction process, and the optimal water extraction process was selected based on the extraction rate and the content of puerarin. The quality standard of Duguopingan Granules was studied by TLC and HPLC. To study the preventive effect of Dugou Pinggan Granule on N-Nitro-L-arginine methylester induced hypertension in rats.
RESULTS The optimal extraction process for Dugou Pinggan Granules was: 10 times the amount of water, soaking for 1 h, decocting for 1.5 h, and decocting for 3 times. The quality standard used puerarin as the content determination index, and berberine hydrochloride, achyranthes bidentata, and stachydrine hydrochloride as the identification index. The pharmacodynamic test results showed that the low dose group of Dugou Pinggan Granule could reduce systolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure in rats, while the high dose group of Dugou Pinggan Granule could reduce systolic blood pressure in rats.
CONCLUSION The preparation process of Dugou Pinggan Granules is stable and feasible, and has a certain antihypertensive effect.
