Shi Liang Cha is commonly used She medicine, derived from the dried leaf of
Chimonanthus salicifolius and
Chimonanthus zhejiangensis, and has a good function of regulating qi-flowing for strengthening spleen. Its main chemical components include volatile oils, coumarins, terpenoids, alkaloids, flavonoids, quinones and steroids. Various pharmacological properties of this herbal medicine have been proved, such as anti-oxidation, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and hypolipidemic effects. Clinical studies have shown that it can be used in the upper respiratory tract infection, digestive system disease, hypertension, ect. This article mainly reviewed the research progress of the chemical components, pharmacological effects and clinical application of Shi liang Cha, and provided theoretical guidance and practical value for the development, application and clinical research of Shi liang Cha.
