Abstract: Safety and rationality of children's medication have become a hot spot that is widely concerned by the whole society. Nowadays, few kinds of drugs suitable for children, the weakness in basic research, the lack of pediatric clinical trials, and the irrational use of drug in children, all of these problem are prominent in China. In order to further promote pediatric drug research, and ensure the rationality of children's medication, in this special column of "pediatric drug research", we offered several papers in three themes of "pediatric drug clinical research" "pediatric rational medication management" and "pediatric drug frontier technology". The column supposes to solve the problem of the pediatric medicine, and support the development of the clinical trials. We expect to provide more innovative drugs and appropriate preparations for pediatric patients, realize individualized drug delivery and precise treatment, improve rational medication, and guard the child health.
