Abstract:
Rutin is a kind of natural flavonoids, which is often used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in clinic. It has pharmacological activities such as anti-myocardial injury, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-apoptosis, antibacterial, antiviral and other pharmacological activities, with little adverse reactions. Rutin is a potential drug for the treatment of many diseases, but its oral bioavailability is low due to poor water solubility and poor permeability, which is limited in clinical application. In order to improve the water solubility and permeability of rutin, improve bioavailability, a variety of new rutin preparations have been studied. Referring to the relevant literature and reports at home and abroad, the paper summarize the basic properties, pharmacological action, bioavailability and pharmacokinetics of rutin, and summarize the study of new dosage forms of rutin. In this paper, the effects of different dosage forms on the bioavailability and pharmacokinetic parameters of rutin are reviewed in order to provide reference for the development of new rutin drugs.
