Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To provide practical basis for the development of hospital pharmacy in China based on the professional development and education model of British pharmaceutical technicians.
METHODS The development framework of national pharmaceutical education and technical personnel in British and the education and career development path of hospital pharmacists were introduced. The differences and gaps in pharmacist training and working mode between the two countries were found out. Suggestions were put forward to promote the development of clinical pharmacy, reform of pharmaceutical education and training of clinical pharmacists in China.
RESULTS & CONCLUSION The aim of pharmaceutical education in British was to train pharmacists who work for clinic and patients. The teaching system was 4 years, and the degree of pharmacy was master. The teaching content focused on clinical practice. The pharmaceutical education in China started late, and the characteristics of the course "cross and strong practicality" were not highlighted in the training mode and curriculum of pharmacy talents. The pharmaceutical education mode, pharmaceutical talent training system and medical system in Britain played an important role in the development of pharmaceutical care in hospitals, and played an important role in the development of pharmaceutical care. The reform of talent training mode and curriculum has reference significance in China.
