Abstract:
Pregnane X receptor(PXR) is a member of the nuclear receptor family, which can regulate the expression of many kinds of drug metabolic enzymes and transporters, thus affect the disposal of the drugs in the liver and increase the risk of drug-induced liver injury. Deeply understanding the role of PXR in drug-induced liver injury can prevent or reduce the occurrence of drug-induced liver injury, and do contribute to the research and development of new drug which regard PXR as potential targets.
