Abstract: Sepsis is a syndrome caused by a severe infection, which can cause organ dysfunction or even death. Due to aging, sharp increase of antibiotic resistance and other factors, patients with sepsis suffer high morbidity and mortality. The mechanism of sepsis is complex, and may involves pyroptosis, coagulation and mitochondrial dysfunction, and cell autophagy. Search of therapeutic drugs for sepsis has always been a hot topic in the field of medicine. This paper reviews the literatures, which were read and analyzed carefully, on sepsis treatment drugs in recent five years by searching Chinese and foreign databases such as CNKI, Wanfang and PubMed, etc, in order to provide theoretical references to improve clinically efficacy and reduce mortality of sepsis.
