Abstract: OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Andrographis paniculata dropping pills combined with Jinzhijieyin Gargle in the treatment of recurrent aphthous ulcer(RAU). METHODS Eighty six patients with RAU were randomly divided into experimental group and control group(n=43). Treatment of RAU with Andrographis paniculata dropping pills and Jinzhijieyin gargle in the experimental group, the control group only used Jinzhijieyin gargle. On the 1 st, 3 rd, 5 th, 7 th and 10 th day after treatment, the pain degree and ulcer healing were observed and the total effective rate was compared between the two groups. RESULTS The degree of pain in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group on the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7 th day after treatment(P<0.05). The healing time of ulcer in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05). On the first day after treatment, there was no significant difference in the healing rate(WHR) between the two groups. On the third day after treatment, WHR in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). CONCLUSION Andrographis paniculata dropping pills combined with Jinzhijieyin gargle can accelerate the healing of RAU, relieve pain and shorten the course of disease.
