Abstract: Ancient herbal books about Ophisaurus were throughly studied and consulted to trace the origins, producing areas, harvests, processing methods, clinical applications, etc. The research mainly was aimed at analyzing and summarizing medical monographs and scientific research reports of Ophisaurus, to provide references for rational applications, standardized processing and modern herbalism research.
