Abstract: OBJECTIVE To analyze and summarize the prescription regularity of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) treatment for chronic pharyngitis based on traditional Chinese medicine inheritance system(TCMISS). METHODS Collected the literature in CNKI and VIP on the treatment of chronic pharyngitis by TCM and screened the proper prescriptions to establish database. Applied the data mining method integrated in the traditional Chinese inheritance system(V2.5) to analyze the prescription regularity of TCM treatment for chronic pharyngitis. RESULTS The 129 prescriptions for chronic pharyngitis treatment were screened based on the analysis of prescriptions in TCMISS. A total of 192 herbs were involved, the frequency of drug use in the prescription was determined, and the prescriptions with higher frequency and 26 groups of core combinations for chronic pharyngitis treatment were obtained. Through further clustering, 13 new prescriptions for chronic pharyngitis treatment were acquired. CONCLUSION Through analyzing the prescription data for chronic pharyngitis by TCMISS, the prescription regularity for chronic pharyngitis treatment in recent years is clarified.
