METHODS With two forms of paper questionnaire and WeChat questionnaire, a survey was conducted in 749 hospitalized patients from a hospital in Shandong province. The database was established by Excel, and the results of the investigation were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 software.
RESULTS The average score of KAP and knowledge education necessity were (2.09±1.17), (1.89±1.81), (2.29±1.30), (3.45±1.30). Knowledge, practice and knowledge education necessity were at a good level, while the frequency of contact with medication knowledge lectures or education activities (attitude) was at a poor level. Attitude was negatively correlated with knowledge and practice (
P<0.01).
CONCLUSION Drug knowledge lectures and drug education activities need to be improved. Age, occupation, education level, work status and monthly income are the main influencing factors of the drug risk KAP in the interviewees. The education of medication safety should be further strengthened for the low educated patients and old patients.
