Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To optimize parameters of low-temperature spray-drying process of Sea-buckthorn Strengthening Tea granules, provide the basis for industrialization.
METHODS The polysaccharide content in Sea-buckthorn Strengthening Tea granules was measured by phenol-dense sulphuric acid method. The content of ginsenoside Re, Rg1, Rb1 in Sea-buckthorn Strengthening Tea granules were measured by HPLC. The amount percent of weight, polysaccharide content and the content of ginsenoside Re, Rg1, Rb1 of dry granulation were taken as the indexes of low-temperature spray-drying process evaluation. Then the low-temperature spray-drying process parameters of Sea-buckthorn Strengthening Tea granules were optimized by single factor experiment and response surface methodol.
RESULTS These low-temperature spray-drying process parameters after optimized were as follows:relative density was 1.08 g·mL
-1 in spray-drying, inlet air temperature was 120℃, speed of peristaltic pump was 20 RPM, fan speed was 25 m
3·h
-1, compression pressure was 0.4 Mpa.
CONCLUSION Low-temperature spray-drying process is suit for extraction concentrate solution from Sea-buckthorn Strengthening Tea to prepare dry granules. Low-temperature spray-drying have smaller impact on functional ingredient with faster speed. These best low-temperature spray-drying process parameters after optimized of Sea-buckthorn Strengthening Tea are scientific, reasonable, feasible, mature, stable. This optimized low-temperature spray-drying process is suitable for its industrialized production
