Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To systematically review the efficacy and safety of Lienal Polypeptide injection combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer and provide evidence-based reference for clinical treatment.
METHODS Retrieved from CNKI, Wanfang, VIP and CBM database, Medline, Embase and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), randomized controlled trials(RCT) about Lienal Polypeptide injection combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer were collected. Data were extracted from the clinical studies which meeting inclusion criteria. Meta-analysis was performed by using Rev Man 5.3 software after data extract while the quality evaluation was according to Cochrane 5.0.
RESULTS A total of 25 RCTs were enrolled, involving 2 055 patients. Results of meta-analysis showed Lienal polypeptide injection combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer could significantly improve the effective rate
OR=1.85, 95%
CI(1.50, 2.28),
P<0.000 01 and improvement rate of life quality
OR=4.55, 95%
CI(3.19, 6.51),
P<0.000 01. It could also significantly reduce the incidence of adverse drug reactions, including the reduction of leukocyte, platelet and hemoglobin, nausea and vomiting, myelosuppressive and neurotoxicity.
