Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To establish HPLC characteristic chromatograms of Myrrh and Gum opoponax.
METHODS The characteristic chromatograms of Myrrh and Gum opoponax were established by HPLC method. The separation was performed using Eclipse Plus C
18(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5μm) column by gradient elution with acetonitrile and 0.1% phosphoric acid aqueous solution as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min
-1. The UV detection wavelength was set at 240 nm. Statistical analysis was applied to evaluate the difference between Myrrh and Gum opoponax.
RESULTS The HPLC characteristic chromatograms of Myrrh and Gum opoponax were established, in which seven and two characteristic peaks were assigned, respectively. There were significant differences between Myrrh and Gum opoponax.
CONCLUSION The established HPLC characteristic chromatograms of Myrrh and Gum opoponax showed good reproducibility and specificity, and can be used for the identification of Myrrh and Gum opoponax.
