Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the inhibitory effects of Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution on different pancreatic cancer cell (BXPC-3 and PANC-1) proliferation.
METHODS The effects of different concentration of Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution on the inhibitory effect of BXPC-3(Agrimonia Herb extracting solution:0.15, 0.3, 0.6, 1.2, 2.4, 4.8 mg·mL
-1) and PANC-1(Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution:0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0 mg·mL
-1) proliferation for 24, 48, 72 h were detected by SRB method. The effect of Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution (0.5, 1, 2 mg·mL
-1) (BXPC-3) on cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry. The effect of Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution (1, 2, 4, 8 mg·mL
-1) (BXPC-3) on cell apoptosis was detected by Annexin V-FITC/PI staining.
RESULTS The proliferation of BXPC-3 cells were remarkably inhibited by Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution at a time and concentration dependent manner. The rate of cells in G1 were enhanced, and the cell apoptosis were promoted by Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution.
CONCLUSION Agrimoniae Herba extracting solution inhibits proliferation of BXPC-3 and PANC-1 cells via or partly via inducing cell apoptosis and plays the role of anti-pancreatic cancer.
