Abstract: OBJECTIVE To discover and research the items of Chinese medicinal materials(CMMs) which origin plants' Chinese name or Latin name were different with classical taxonomy books, origin plants and parts were same but collected as different CMMs from China Pharmacopoeia 2015(ChP 2015) METHODS Every version of ChP were searched. Legal Medicinal Plants of China, Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sinicae(FRPS), Flora of China(FOC), Chinese Field Herbarium(CFH) were also searched to help with studying. RESULTS Fifty items with above situation exist were studied. Origin plants' Chinese name of 24 items and Latin name of 16 items were different with taxonomy books. eight items with situation of same origin plants and parts but collected as different CMMs. two items with other problem. CONCLUSION Through our study, 44 items were researched clearly, 6 items worth to discuss.
