Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution of paclitaxel content in mouse skin after 4 h topical application of paclitaxel nano-liposomes gels.
METHODS Mouse superficial skin samples were obtained by tape stripping technique and paclitaxel content in the stratum corneum and viable skin was determined by HPLC after extraction.
RESULTS The paclitaxel content in the stratum corneum and viable skin were 3.41, 5.35 μg·cm
-2 respectively after 4 h topical application of paclitaxel nano-liposomes gels.
CONCLUSION Compared with paclitaxel gels, nano-liposomes gels can significantly improve the skin residual amount.
