Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of propranolol oral liquid on serum levels of angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang-Ⅱ), B-type brain natriuretic peptide(BNP), cardiac troponin Ⅰ(cTnⅠ), C-reactive protein(CRP), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), adenosine monophosphate(ATP) and interleukin 6(IL-6) on rats with chronic heart failure.
METHODS The rat model of chronic heart failure were established by weekly intraperitoneal injection of doxorubicin hydrochloride. And the levels of Ang-Ⅱ, BNP, cTnⅠ, CRP, TNF-α, ATP and IL-6 influenced by propranolol oral liquid were observed in chronic heart failure rats.
RESULTS The rat model of chronic heart failure rats was successed. Compared with the model group, the high, middle and low dose of practolol oral liquid can significantly reduce the serum Ang-Ⅱ, BNP and cTnⅠ, CRP, TNF-α level (
P<0.01); high, middle and low doses of practolol oral liquid can significantly increase the ATP level (
P<0.01). High, middle dose practolol oral liquid can significantly decrease the serum IL-6 levels (
P<0.01), low dose of practolol oral liquid group can significantly decrease the serum IL-6 levels (
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The effect of the chronic heart failure model of rats can be improved obviously by the oral administration of propranolol.
