Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To discuss the clinical effects of drug education on improving medication compliance in pediatric patients.
METHODS 530 discharge pediatric patients were randomly divided into the observation group(
n=265) and the control group(
n=265) by random number table, the control group were given routine discharge guidance, and the observation group were given drug education based on the control group, then the drug use compliance rate and the clinical effects 6 months after the discharge were contrasted between the two groups.
RESULTS The drug use compliance rate after the discharge was 97.0% in the observation group, significantly higher than 86.4% in the control group(
P<0.01); the effective rate in the observation group was 90.9%, significantly higher than84.5% in the control group(
P<0.05).
CONCLUSION Discharge medication education is a new type of comprehensive pharmaceutical care, as parents lack of understanding the importance and necessity of drug therapy after discharge, it has important significance in guiding patients, especially children with safe, effective and economical use of drugs, can improve medication compliance rate of children after discharge, resulting in better disease treatmentefficiency.
