Abstract
OBJECTIIVE To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Guanmaining combined conventional treatment for coronary heart disease. METHODS The Cochrane Library (Issue 2, 2013), EMbase, PubMed, CBM, CNKI and VIP(from their inception to Match 2013) for RCTs of Guanmaining combined conventional treatment for coronary heart disease were searched. Two reviewers independently retrieved RCTs according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, assessed the methodological quality of included trials, and extracted data. The data analyses was performed by RevMan 5.14 software. RESULTS Six RCTs involving 725 patients were ultimately identified. The results of meta-analyses showed that symptoms improved effective rate of Guanmaining group was superior to control groupRR=5.87, 95%CI(3.45, 9.99), P<0.000 01; ECG improved effective rate of Guanmaining group was superior to control groupRR=2, 95%CI(1.33, 3.02), P<0.000 01, and there were significant differences. CONCLUSION The results of meta-analyses indicate that Guanmaining combined conventional treatment for coronary heart disease is effective and safety. Howerver, due to the number and quality of included studies, more large sample size, high-quality RCTs are needed.
