Determination of Hyperin in Psidium Guajava Leaf by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To establish a determination method for hyperin in Psidium guajava leaf by HPLC. METHODS HPLC was performed on a Dikma Kromasil C₁₈ column(4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 mm) with methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid solution(45∶55) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min^-1, and the detection wavelength was 254 nm. RESULTS It showed a good linearity at the range of 0.020 48~0.204 8 mg(r=0.999 9), and the average recovery of hyperin was 98.4%(RSD=1.5%). CONCLUSION The method is sensitive, accurate, reproducible, specific and could be used to determine hyperin in Psidium guajava leaf.
