HPLC Fingerprints of Paris Polyphylla Smith Var. Yunnanensis of Different Growing Years

OBJECTIVE To compare the fingerprints of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis of different growing years and explore its optimal harvesting year. METHODS Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis samples harvested in different years were collected. The fingerprints of the samples were generated by HPLC. The similarity between samples with different growing year, as well as the chromatographic data, were computed and analyzed. RESULTS The fingerprints of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis were influenced by the different of growing years. And Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis grawing in the sixth year was verified to contain higher content to biological substance. CONCLUSION The data will be very important guide the harvest of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis.
