OBJECTIVE To study the infrared spectra identification of common plastic pharmaceutical packaging materials and provide reference for infrared spectral identification in national pharmaceutical packaging material standards.
METHODS Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy attenuated total reflection(ATR) method was used to record the infrared spectra of plastic pharmaceutical packaging materials. The main absorption peaks in the spectra were assigned, the vibrational forms of the main absorption peaks in the spectra were analyzed, and the influencing factors of infrared spectra were discussed.
RESULTS The infrared spectra of common plastic pharmaceutical packaging materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, and polyamide were analyzed.
CONCLUSION Infrared spectrum determination method, ATR crystal material, and production formula can all affect the results of infrared spectra.
