OBJECTIVE To explore a digital workflow model for pharmacy operations and construct an enterprise resource planning(ERP) system architecture for intelligent outpatient pharmacy management, thereby improving work efficiency and quality.
METHODS The architecture, functionalities, design principles, and digital workflow model of the ERP system for the intelligent outpatient pharmacy were introduced. Implementation outcomes were validated by comparing key parameters before and after system deployment.
RESULTS After system implementation, the prescription dispensing error rate decreased from 0.86‰ to 0.04‰, prescription processing time was reduced from (54.28±0.84) s to (29.06±0.42) s, patient waiting time decreased from (4.41±0.53) min to (2.86±0.64) min, and patient satisfaction improved from (86.58±0.75)% to (92.56±0.64)%. All differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).
CONCLUSION The intelligent pharmacy system based on digitalization facilitates the digital transformation of outpatient pharmacy services and enhances operational efficiency and quality.
