Experimental Research Progress on DL-3-N-butylphthalide Alleviating Inflammatory Response in Cerebrovascular Disease by Regulating NF-κB Signaling Pathway

    • DL-3-N-butylphthalide(NBP) is a multi-target neuroprotective agent with diverse pharmacological effects, notably anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties. It significantly alleviates the immune-inflammatory response in cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and vascular dementia. Nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB) is a pivotal factor widely involved in immune-inflammatory responses. Recent studies have revealed that NBP exerts its therapeutic effects on cerebrovascular diseases by modulating NF-κB and alleviating immune-inflammatory responses. This review summarizes experimental studies on how NBP regulates the NF-κB signaling pathway to mitigate immune-inflammatory responses in cerebrovascular diseases.
