Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To observe clinica efficacy of total glucosides of peony on treating systemic lupus erythematosus with uveitis as adjuvant treatment. METHODS Seventy eight systemic lupus erythematosus with uveitis patients were randomly divided into two groups who were received in outpatient department of ophthalmology in Hangzhou Red Cross Hospital from February 2009 to October 2011, 40 patients in treatment group were treated with total glucosides of peony and western medicine, 38 patients in control group were treated with only western medicine. Compare and assess the clinical curative effect between the two groups after treatment with a mean follow-up of six months. RESULTS Total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group was 95.00% and 78.95%, there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). CONCLUSION The treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus with uveitis used by total glucosides of peony as adjuvant treatment is satisfied and more effective than that with conventional western medicine.
