Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To establish a UHPLC fingerprint analysis method for different origins of standard decoction of Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix(NRR), so as to provide a theoretical basis for its quality evaluation.
METHODS The fingerprints of 26 batches of Notopterygium incisum Ting ex H. T. Chang and Notopterygium franchetii H. de Boiss. standard decoction samples were established by UHPLC, and the similarity evaluation of UHPLC fingerprints of standard decoction of NRR was carried out using the traditional Chinese medicine chromatographic fingerprint similarity evaluation system(2012A version), and cluster analysis, principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis were performed.
RESULTS Fourteen chromatographic peaks were selected as common peaks, and 11 components were identified. The similarity of standard decoction samples of Notopterygium incisum Ting ex H. T. Chang and Notopterygium franchetii H. de Boiss. were 0.939-0.988 and 0.943-0.989, respectively. The results of chemometrics showed that the 26 batches of NRR standard decoction samples were clustered into 2 types and 5 components with large differences in composition were screened out including nodakenin, 6′-O-trans-feruloylnodakenin, ferulic acid, isochlorogenic acid B and chlorogenic acid.
CONCLUSION The established methods can quickly identify and evaluate the origins of standard decoction of NRR and counterfeits, it provides reference for the quality control of Chinese medicinal preparation related to NRR.
