Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of informatization management and workflow optimization of pharmacy intravenous admixture service(PIVAS).
METHODS The deficiencies of the original process were analyzed, and the drug discharge, configuration process, speed limit of the first infusion, drug withdrawal mode and error management were improved. Compared the work efficiency, error rate and damage rate before and after improvement.
RESULTS After informatization management and process optimization, the medicine discharging time was shortened(
t=-21.19,
P<0.01). The damage rate of discharge decreased from 0.225% to 0.125%, and the error rate decreased from 0.166% to 0.063%. The delivery time of the first infusion was about 30 min in advance, the drug withdrawal efficiency was significantly improved(
t=-138.27,
P<0.01), and the whole process of infusion recording was improved. In addition, 9 human resources were saved in the case of increased workload.
CONCLUSION Information-based management and workflow optimization can effectively improve work efficiency and ensure drug safety of patients.
