Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To review the pharmacological action and clinical application of Osteoking, such as analgesic and anti-inflammatory, and promoting bone differentiation, etc. Provide basis for further research and clinical selection.
METHODS Through a large number of books and materials on Osteoking were reviewed to summarize its analgesic and anti-inflammatory mechanisms and so on. Summed up the Osteoking pharmacological action and clinical application.
RESULTS Osteoking was a Chinese traditional medicine compound, which was composed of astragalus, ginseng, safflower, panax notoginseng, eucommia ulmoides, turtle shelland, tangerine peel, schizophragma, flos daturae, and other drugs. Animal experiments and clinical research confirmed that Osteoking exerted benefical effects on osteoporosis, fracture, femoral head necrosis, lumbar disc herniation and so on. It was widely used in clinical practice. Adverse drug events of Osteoking included digestive system damage, any loss of mental faculties right, etc. However, these adverse drug reactions would be controlled after drug withdrawal or symptomatic treatment.
CONCLUSION Osteoking has a variety of pharmacological effects. After years of clinical application, its clinical efficacy has been confirmed.
