A 41-year-old male patient with Chronic hepatitis C received IFN-1b injection combining with Ribavirin antiviral treatment. After taking Ribavirin for 2 days, he began to cough, which appeared as Paroxysmal cough. There were no respiratory diseases like chronicSbronchitis in his past medical history. ThroughSchest radiograph, the lung diseases were excluded. The symptom of cough disappeared after stopping taking Ribavirin. This confirms that Ribavirin can surely lead to cough,an adverse reaction.
