    Clinical Rational Drug Use for Pharmaceutical Excipients of Injection

    • OBJECTIVE To grasp the drug prospectus for pharmaceutical excipients of injection, and provide basis for rational use of drugs. METHODS To count and analyze the information for pharmaceutical excipients of injection by review the prospectus of injection in our hospital. RESULTS There were 64.75% prospectus of 278 injections marked with pharmaceutical excipients. There were 61 kinds of pharmaceutical excipients which 55.74% were recorded in 2015 Chinese Pharmacopoeia. There were 2.78%, 21.11%, 3.89% and 0.56% drug prospectus for pharmaceutical excipients of injection warninged related adverse reactions, contraindications, precautions and drug interaction. CONCLUSION In order to ensure the clinical rational use of drugs, physicians and clinical pharmacists should not only pay attention to the efficacy and adverse reactions of drugs, but also to consider the adverse reactions of pharmaceutical excipients and the interactions between drugs and pharmaceutical excipients.
