    Study of QAMS with Forsythin as the Internal Reference Substance for Quality Evaluation in Shanxi Forsythiae Fructus

    • OBJECTIVE To establish the QAMS of determination of 6 main components of Forsythiae Fructus (pinoresinol-β-D-glucoside, forsythiaside A, forsythiaside B, rutin, forsythin and phillygenin), which was used to evaluate the quality of Forsythiae Fructus in Shanxi. METHODS Hypersil C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) was chose and water-methanol was used as the mobile phase of gradient elution. Forsythin as the internal reference substance, the relative correction factors and the contents of other five constituents (pinoresinol-β-D-glucoside, forsythiaside A, forsythiaside B, rutin, phillygenin) were respectively established and calculated to realized QAMS. The study compared difference between the calculated values of QAMS and the measured values of ESM in order to verify the accuracy and feasibility of QAMS. RESULTS The relative errors of the calculated values of QAMS and the measured values of ESM were less than 5%, and there were no significant differences. CONCLUSION The result obtained good reproducibility of relative correction factor and establishment of QAMS for the quality evaluation in Shanxi Forsythiae Fructus is of the accuracy and feasibility.
