Clinical Pharmacist’s Role in the Multidisciplinary Team for Elderly Patients

OBJECTIVE To explore the role of clinical pharmacists in the multidisciplinary team for elderly patients. METHODS Summarized and analyzed the clinical pharmacist’s work in the multidisciplinary team for elderly patients in Beijing Geriatric Hospital. RESULTS Pharmacists were indispensable in the multidisciplinary team for elderly patients. CONCLUSION The clinical pharmacists have developed fully a important role in promoting the rational use of drugs in old age by working in the multidisciplinary team for elderly patients.
