Determination of Hesperidin in Herbal Paste by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To establish a high performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of the Hesperidin in Herbal Paste. METHODS The analytical column was packed with the Hypersil ODS2 column(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm). Mobile phase consisted of Acetonitrile-Methanoic acid buffer solutions(20∶80), The flow rate was 1.0 mL·min^-1 and the UV detection wavelength was 283 nm. The temperature of the column was 30 ℃. The injection volume was 20 μL. RESULTS A good linearity was obtained over the range of 2.1-12.6 μg·mL^-1 for Hesperidin(r=0.999 8). The average recovery was 99.1% and RSD was 1.68%. CONCLUSION This method is simple, reliable, reproducible and can be used for the determination of Hesperidin in this preparation.
